Picture Time!

We went to Sears and got family and baby photos taken last week! Ansel was a little tired and definitely more interested in looking at the lights instead of the camera, but we got a few cute ones of him anyway! You can check them out at the following link:

Last Friday we stopped by the Dr.'s office, and Ansel was up to 13lbs. 10oz. A couple of weeks ago he had a speck of a tooth pop up on his lower gums, although it is currently hiding again! Ansel's latest struggle is trying to roll over. He thinks it is pretty fun to practice (with a little help), but grunts and really strains to try to do it himself! He's gotten pretty close and can do it if he kicks off of us, so it probably won't be too much longer until he becomes more mobile! He's also enjoying his toys more and he's quite vocal. As depicted below, he also has his favorite way to sleep, with his left arm propped over his eyes! He's still only tried the rice cereal, nothing else yet, although he's not real fond of it! I think it's really the whole spoon thing he dislikes, as he'll drink a bottle mixed with rice cereal just fine. Later this week he'll have his longest road trip yet, to go visit his cousins in Louisiana.

Pardon me.. do you have any Grey Poupon?

Lights out!

More family fun!

With the wedding this weekend, we ended up with lots of family in town... even ALL the Sneddon grandchildren together at the same time!

Grandma and Grandpa Sneddon with all the grandkids, from oldest to youngest (L-R): Jewell (5..almost 6), Kaley (5), Evan (3), Kelsey (will be 3 next week!)and Camille (10 months)with Grandpa, and Lindsey (almost 7 months) and Ansel with Grandma.

Then we gathered the kids, spouses and grandkids together to attempt another little photo session! We got Grandma and Grandpa Hansen to join the crowd also.

Lindsey and Ansel are starting to become a little more interactive ... it's pretty fun watching them play.

Grandpa's new motorcycle might look fun, but no ideas for another 20 years!!!

Happy 1st Father's day Cody!

We took Brett, Melinda, Evan & Camille down to Tulsa area so they could visit a friend before flying home to Idaho. On the trip back, we got to visit Aunt Stacey, Uncle Doug and Ansel's cousins, Harrison and Lawrence.

*On a side note, Ansel visited the doctor today to get more shots... he now weighs 12 lbs, 10 oz. and almost 24 inches long! His pediatrician said he looks just like a four month old.. so he's working on making up the three month difference!

Aunt Lorelle gets married!

Well, this weekend was an eventful one! Ansel's Aunt Lorelle (Cody's little sister) got married on Friday to John Luckey. He's in the Marines and stationed in South Carolina where they will be living for awhile. She was quite the beautiful bride!

6 months old!

Today Ansel hits his 6 month birthday! It is also his cousin Emma's third birthday today. Happy Birthday Emma! He got to meet his cousins from Louisiana this week. (Olivia-5 Emma-3 and Karina-1) (My sister Roya's three girls.) Her husband Carlo is in the army and stationed at Fort Polk.
Later this week Ansel's Aunt Lorelle is getting married and he'll get to meet up with more family... two family reunions two weekends in a row... not bad!
Last week Ansel was 11 lbs. 14 oz, so I imagine he's a little over 12 pounds now.

We also tested him out on a little rice cereal.. mostly a couple of bites. At this point its more for entertainment than nutrition.. he smiled a lot and got it everywhere except in his stomach!

Sometimes the thumb just isn't enough

Olivia... Starts 1st grade next year; Decided (during Emma's birthday party) she didn't like September anymore.. June is a much better birthday month.

Emma...tough little girl. This past week she was in the hospital for several days after they found out she has diabetes. Big adjustment for any age, especially for only being three.

Karina.. specializes in walking and giving out kisses.

The new Ansel mobile

We got a new car this past week (thankgoodness for tax returns!) It's a 2002 Mazda Protege. My old car was all right around town, but not much past that.

Ansel got his first invitation to a birthday party! Ethan, who just turned a year old, loved his new friend!

While likely several months away from any teeth, Ansel begins to show first stages of teething! Biting down and drooling have become new daily activities.

Blessing day

Ansel was blessed at church this past Sunday! It was a great day that we were able to share with lots of friends and family. Here's a few pictures of his big day.

Ansel got to visit with Amy, his NICU respiratory therapist! He must have been glad to see her because he sure gave her a lot of smiles.

Pictured out!

Cousin Lindsey and Ansel meet again! Lindsey was born a few weeks before Ansel.

1st trip to church!

Yesterday was Ansel's first trip to church. He looked pretty cute in his little outfit (which we had to roll up the sleeves and pant legs to make it fit.) He did pretty well.... no huge outbursts this week atleast, although I imagine there'll be a few to come! He's now about 9 1/2 pounds and 22 1/2 inches long. We're enjoying the smiling and talking and even got his first excited squeal today.. which seemed to catch him off guard. He jumped and seemed a little surprised at the sound which he'd just made.
Exciting news of last week: my incision FINALLY closed up. It's nice not having to rip of and retape myself everyday! I'm left with a crater of a scar, but thankgoodness it is a scar now instead of the never-ending wound!
